Research at Harvard, Marijuana Was Effective Treat Cancer

Researchers at Harvard ever test laboratory studies chemical compound THC (marijuana). Preliminary results, THC is known to fight lung cancer.

worldobserveronline revealed, they said it was the experiment that showed that the compounds THC actually activates the receptor naturally produced to fight lung cancer.

The researchers suggest that THC or other designer agents that activate these receptors can be used in the method is expected to treat lung cancer.

Although medical substitute THC, known as Marinol, has been used as an appetite stimulant for patients with cancer and other similar treatments, several studies have shown that THC may have anti-tumor activity.

The only clinical trial testing THC as a treatment against cancer growth is a study in the UK. For three weeks, the researchers injected standard doses of THC in mice that had been implanted with cancer cells of human lung.

As a result, the tumor is reduced in size and weight of about 50 percent in animals. In addition there is a reduction of 60 percent of lung cancer, as well as a significant reduction in protein markers associated with cancer development.
